About This Comic
This started as a series of characters used in an rpg. Being the lazy person that I am, I only ever bothered to come up with new first names -- the last names I made the same. It was pretty inevitable, then, that I decided that they would all be related. After grouping the names and sorting them into generations, I ended up with two families: the Kavanaghs and the Solanas. Unfortunately, the Solana family was not a straight paternal line. I needed another last name. I ended up giving the grandmother the maiden name Carlisle, just to keep things straight in my head.
My second problem came when I realized I had far more generations in the Solana family than in the Kavanaghs. Normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem, except that I had already created a great deal of interaction between the generations and I did not want to completely throw out my original storyline. I did finally solve this dilemma, but you will have to read the comic to find out how.
This starts in late August of 2002 from the perspective of the last daughter of the Solana line, Aleda. She has just moved from a town in Spain, where her father's family lives, to a suburb in Delaware. She's not terribly thrilled with this.
